๐Ÿ’ก How to Use

  1. Locate `level.dat`: Find the `level.dat` file inside your Minecraft Java Edition world's save folder. (On Windows, usually in `%appdata%\.minecraft\saves\YourWorldName\`). This tool does not support Bedrock Edition `level.dat` files.
  2. Upload File: Click the "Open File..." button and select your `level.dat` file, OR drag and drop the file directly onto this page.
  3. View Results: If the file is valid, the tool will display:
    • Your World Name, Seed, and exact Spawn coordinates (X, Y, Z).
    • A map centered on your spawn point showing the Spawn Chunks colored by activity level.
  4. Understand the Map:
    • Green Chunks: Fully active spawn chunks (entities process, blocks tick, etc.).
    • Yellow Chunks: Partially active (entities process, blocks don't tick randomly - sometimes called entity-ticking chunks).
    • Grey Chunks: Lazy chunks (minimal processing, load when player nearby).
(See the Minecraft Wiki for more details.)
  5. Navigate Map: Use drag/zoom or the controls below the map to explore the area around your spawn chunks.
