About Fossils
Fossils are underground structures composed primarily of Bone Blocks, sometimes containing Coal Ore or Diamonds (inside Deepslate variants).
In the Overworld, fossils generate in Desert and Swamp biomes between Y=0 and Y=320. In the Nether, giant fossils can generate in Soul Sand Valleys.
This finder shows the coordinates (X, Z) of the chunk where a Fossil attempts to generate. The actual fossil structure might be slightly offset within the chunk and can be buried. Nether Fossils may generate partially exposed or embedded in Netherrack.
How to Use
- Enter Seed: Type your Minecraft world seed (or load from `level.dat`).

- Select Dimension: Choose Overworld or Nether.
- Explore Map: The map will load, highlighting chunks containing potential Fossil locations with bone icons.
- Drag: Click and drag to move.
- Zoom: Use mouse wheel or zoom slider.
- Go To Coordinates: Enter X and Z block coordinates.
- Get Fossil Chunk Coordinates: Interact with a highlighted marker (hover/click/tap) to see the chunk's coordinates below the map. Remember the fossil itself could be anywhere within that chunk and likely requires digging.
