๐ŸงฑAbout Strongholds

Strongholds are complex underground structures primarily made of Stone Bricks. They were the first naturally generating structures added to Minecraft that serve a specific purpose in game progression.

Each stronghold houses an End Portal, which is the only way to access the End dimension and fight the Ender Dragon. Strongholds also contain libraries (sometimes with valuable enchanted books), chests with loot, and Silverfish spawners.

In Java Edition, strongholds generate in concentric rings around the world origin (0,0). There are 128 strongholds in total per world. Bedrock Edition generation is different, with strongholds generating more randomly beneath villages.

This finder shows the predicted starting coordinates (X, Z) of strongholds. The End Portal room is usually located near these coordinates.

๐Ÿ’ก How to Use

  1. Enter Seed: Type your Minecraft world seed (or load from `level.dat`).
  2. Select Version: Choose the correct Minecraft version.
  3. Explore Map: The map will load, highlighting potential Stronghold starting locations with stone brick icons. Strongholds generate in rings far from spawn in Java, and more randomly in Bedrock.
    • Drag: Click and drag to move.
    • Zoom: Use mouse wheel or zoom slider.
    • Go To Coordinates: Enter X and Z block coordinates.
    • Get Stronghold Coordinates: Interact with a highlighted marker (hover/click/tap) to see the approximate starting coordinates below the map. The End Portal room should be near this point.
  4. Toggle Grid: Use the "Grid Lines" checkbox.
